فلما كان المختار بن (أبي) عبيد قيل له: إن تحت القصر كنزا. فاحتفره فأخرج تلك الأشعار.
When Al-Mukhtar bin (Abi) Ubaid came, he was told: 'There is a treasure beneath the palace.' So he dug it up and brought out those poems.
ومن ثم أهل الكوفة أعلم بالأشعار من أهل البصرة
And from this, the people of Kufa are more knowledgeable about poetry than the people of Basra.
