The desert tarathuth has no roots or fruit, its habitat is sandy and soft ground, it has a sweet taste mixed with astringency, and it is red with a round head, like a male garlic bulb.
طراثيث لا أرطى لها، وذآنين لا رمث لها
'Tarathith without arta, and dhawaneen without ramth'.
يضربان مثلا للذي يستأصل فلا يبقى له بقية بعدما كان له أصل وقدر ومال
