الصواب أن تقول: غلت في الحساب، وفي سائر الأشياء: غلط
The correct way is to say: ghalaṭa in calculation, and in other things: ghalaṭa.
أنه يقال: غلت في الحساب غلتا، وغلط في القول غلطا
That it is said: one erred in calculation with a mistake (ghaltan), and erred in speech with a mistake (ghalaṭan).
ويقال: غلط فيهما جميعا
And it is said: one erred in both together.
لا غلت في الإسلام
No error/rescission in Islam.
إذا استدر البرم الغلوت الغلوت: الكثير الغلت، واستدراره: كثرة كلامه.
When the talkative person speaks excessively, al-ghalawtu al-ghalawtu: much talk, and his excessive speaking: his abundance of speech.

واغلنتي فلان عليه إذا علاه بالشتم والضرب والقهر مثل اغرندي، نقله الجوهري عن أبي زيد.
And so-and-so overwhelmed him (aghlanṭāhu) with insults, beatings, and oppression, like aghrandā, transmitted by Al-Jawhari from Abu Zayd.
والغلتة: أول الليل
And al-ghaltah: the beginning of the night.
وجىء غلتة في ظلمة الليل وارتحل بيوم محاق الشهر والدبران
And he came in the early night amidst the darkness of the night and departed on the day of the new moon and the Dabarān stars.
والغلتة بالضم: اسم الغلت.
And al-ghaltah (with dammah): the noun for al-ghalt.
اغتلته، وتغلته: أخذه على غرة
He took him by surprise (ightalatahu, taghallatahu): he seized him unexpectedly.
لا يجوز التغلت
Al-taghallut is not permissible.
