And Al-Jauhari recited for Ash-Shanfara: As if she has something lost on earth she recounts to her mother, and if she speaks to you, she will be cut off (from speech).
أي: تنقطع حياء.
Meaning: she becomes cut off from shame.
ومن رواه، بالكسر، يعني: تقطع وتفصل ولا تطول.
And whoever narrates it with a kasra, it means: to be cut off and separated, and not prolonged.
وانبلت الرجل: انقطع في كل خير وشر.
And 'anballata al-rajul': The man became cut off in all good and evil.
وبلت الرجل يبلت، وبلت، بالكسر، وأبلت: انقطع من الكلام، فلم يتكلم.
And 'balata al-rajul yablutu', and 'balita', with a kasra, and 'abalta': he ceased from speech, and did not speak.
وبلت يبلت: إذا لم يتحرك، وسكت.
And 'balata yablutu': when he did not move, and was silent.
وقيل: بلت الحياء الكلام: إذا قطعه.
And it was said: 'balata al-haya' al-kalam': if shame cut off speech.
وهو الزميت، عن أبي عمر و.
And he is the silent one, according to Abu Amr.
البليت: الرجل الفصيح الذي يبلت الناس، أي: يقطعهم.
Al-Balit: The eloquent man who surpasses people, meaning: he cuts them off (in speech).
وقيل: البليت من الرجال: البين (العاقل اللبيب) الأريب، عن أبي عمر وأيضا؛
And it was said: Al-Balit among men: the clear (intelligent, discerning) wise one, also according to Abu Amr.

وعبر ابن الأعرابي عنه بأنه التام، وأنشد:
And Ibn Al-A'rabi expressed it as meaning complete, and recited:
وصاحب صاحبته زميت ميمن في قوله بليت ليس على الزاد بمستميت
And his companion, his companion is Zammit, Maymun, in his saying 'Balit is not one who perishes from provisions'.
قال: وكأنه ضد، وإن كان الضدان في التصريف.
He said: And it is as if it is an antonym, even though antonyms are in conjugation.
وقد بلت ككرم: إذا فصح.
And 'baluta' like 'karuma': if he became eloquent.
يقال: أبلته يمينا: إذا حلفه، وبلت هو.
It is said: 'Abaltahu yaminan': if you made him swear, and 'balata huwa': he swore.
