It is said: lataba in the dewlap of the she-camel and its brisket: if he stabs it.
خذ الشفرة فالتب بها في لبة الجزور، والتم بها، بمعنى واحد، أي: اطعن بها.
Take the knife and stab with it in the brisket of the sacrificial animal, and stab with it, meaning one thing, i.e., stab with it.
يقال: لتب عليه ثيابه، ورتبها: إذا شدها عليه.
It is said: lataba his clothes upon him, and ratabaha: if he tightened them upon him.
يقال: لتب عليه ثوبه: إذا لبسه، كأنه لا يريد أن يخلعه
It is said: lataba his garment upon him: if he wore it, as if he did not want to take it off.
قال متمم بن نويرة: فله ضريب الشول إلا سؤره والجل فهو ملتب لا يخلع
Matamm ibn Nuwayrah said: He has the gait of the she-camels except for his leftover water, and the saddle-cloth, so it is tightly fitted, not removed.
ألتبه، أي: الأمر (عليه) إلتابا: (أوجبه) ، فهو ملتب.
Al-tabahu, meaning: the matter (upon him) iltaba: (made it obligatory), so he is mulatab.
الملتب: اللازم بيته فرارا من الفتن
Al-multab: one who stays in his house fleeing from tribulations.
الملاتب الجباب والخلقان من الثياب
