والكريبة: الداهية الشديدة

And 'al-kariba': a severe calamity.

Al-kara'ib: hardships; the singular is 'kariba'.

هاذه إبل مائة، أو كربها بالفتح على الصواب، وصوب بعضهم الضم فيه أي: نحوها. وقرابها بالضم، وفي نسخة: قرابتها.
