قطب ما بين عينيه. أي جمع كذالك، وقطب بين عينيه: أي جمع الغضون

Farighun presented a slave girl, whom he had bought from Ta'if, eloquent. He said: I entered upon her, and she was preparing something. I said: What is this? She said: This is Ghaslah. I said: And what are its mixtures? She said: I take good raisins, remove their stickiness, mix them, fill them with al-wakhif, and blend them.
رحيب قطاب الجيب منها رفيقة بجس الندامى بضة المتجرد
Spacious is the joining of the pocket, from it a companion, touching the companions, tender is the uncovered one.
والقطب: المزج، وذلك الخلط
And Al-Qutb: mixing, and that is blending.
ومن هذا يقال: جاء القوم قاطبة، أي جميعا مختلطا بعضهم ببعض
And from this it is said: The people came qatibatan, meaning all together, mixed with each other.
لما قبض سيدنا رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم ارتدت العرب قاطبة
When our master the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, the Arabs apostatized qatibatan, meaning all of them.
وجاؤوا بقطيبتهم، أي: بجماعتهم
And they came with their qatibatihim, meaning: with their group.
والقطيبة: لبن المعزى والضأن يقطبان
And Al-Qatiba: milk of goats and sheep being mixed.
أقفر من أهله ملحوب فالقطبيات فالذنوب
