And the hunter entered into his blind: he entered.
قال ذو الرمة: وبالشمائل من جلان مقتنص رذل الثياب خفي الشخص منزرب
Dhu al-Rummah said: And from the norths of Jallan, a hunter of humble clothes, hidden in form, entering.
والزرب: قترة الرامي.
And al-Zarb: the archer's blind.
قال رؤبة: في الزرب لو يمضغ شريا ما بصق
Ru'bah said: In the blind, if he were to chew a thorny branch, he would not spit.
والزرب: بناء الزريبة للغنم أي الحظيرة من خشب، وقد زربت الغنم أزربها زربا.
And al-Zarb: the building of the sheep pen, meaning the enclosure made of wood, and he built a pen for the sheep, he builds it a pen-building.
وبنات الزريبة: الغنم.
And the daughters of the pen: the sheep.
والزرب (بالكسر: مسيل الماء. وزرب الماء وسرب (كسمع) إذا سال.
And al-Zarb (with kasra): a watercourse. And water flowed (zaraba) and flowed (saraba) (like sam'a) if it flowed.
والزرياب بالكسر: الذهب
And al-Zaryab (with kasra): gold.
أو ماؤه.

And al-Zaryab: the yellow of everything, it is a loanword from zar'ab (with fatha), the hamza was changed to ya for Arabization.

And al-Zarabi: cushions, as in Al-Sihah. And carpets, or everything that is spread out and leaned upon.
قال الفراء: هي الطنافس له خمل رقيق.
Al-Farra said: They are rugs with fine pile.
الواحد زربي، بالكسر ويضم. والذي في لسان العرب الواحد من كل ذلك زربية.
The singular is zarabi, with kasra and damma. And what is in Lisan al-Arab, the singular of all that is zarbiyyah.
وفي حديث بنهي العنبر (فأخذوا زربية أمي فأمر بها، فردت) هي الطنفسة، وقيل: البساط ذو الخمل، وتكسر زاؤها (وتفتح) وتخضم.
And in the hadith about forbidding ambergris (They took my mother's carpet, so he ordered it, and it was returned), it is the rug, and it is said: the carpet with pile, and its za' is broken (kasra) and opened (fatha) and softened.
ازرابي من النبت: ما اصفر أو احمر وفيه خضرة، وقد ازرب البقل ازربابا كاحمر احمرارا، روي ذلك عن المؤرج في قوله تعالى: {وزرابي مبثوثة}
Azrabi from plants: what is yellow or red and has green in it, and the herbage became yellowed (azrabba) with yellowing (azrababan) like becoming red with redness, this was narrated from Al-Mu'arrij in his saying: {And carpets spread out}
فلما رأوا الألوان في البسط والفرش شبهوها بزرابي النبت، وكذلك العبقري من الثياب والفرش.
So when they saw the colors in the carpets and furnishings, they likened them to the plants' azrabi, and likewise the exquisite from clothes and furnishings.
ويل للعرب من شر قد اقترب، ويل للزربية، قيل: وما الزربية؟ قال: الذين يدخلون على الأمراء، فإذا قالوا شرا أو قالوا شيئا قالوا: صدق
Woe to the Arabs from the approaching evil, woe to al-Zaribiyyah! It was asked: And what is al-Zaribiyyah? He said: Those who enter upon the rulers, and if they say evil or say something, they say: 'He has spoken the truth.'
شبههم في تلونهم بواحدة الزرابي وما كان على صنعتها وألوانها.
He likened them in their changeability to one of the zarabi and what was made in its craft and colors.
أو شبههم بالغنم المنسوبة إلى الزرب، وهو الحظيرة التي تأوي إليها في أنهم ينقادون للأمراء ويمضون على مشيتهم انقياد الغنم لراعيها.
Or he likened them to sheep attributed to the enclosure (al-Zarb), which is the pen they take refuge in, in that they follow the rulers and proceed in their way like sheep follow their shepherd.
ويقال للميزاب: المزراب و المرذاب وهو لغة فيه.
And the gutter is called: al-Mizrab and al-Marzab, and it is a dialectical variation for it.
وقال ابن السكيت: هو المئزاب وجمعه مآزيب. ولا يقال المرزاب، وكذلك الفراء وأبو حاتم.
And Ibn al-Sikkit said: It is al-Mi'zab and its plural is ma'azib. And it is not said al-Marzab, and likewise Al-Farra and Abu Hatim.
وعين زربة (بالضم) أو زربى (كسكرى)، وعلى الأول اقتصر ابن العديم في تاريخ حلب: (ثغر مشهور قرب المصيصة من الثغور الشامية.
And 'Ain Zarba (with damma) or Zarba (like Sukra), and Ibn al-'Adim limited himself to the first in the history of Aleppo: (a famous border fort near Masisa from the Syrian frontiers).
نسب إليها أبو محمد إسماعيل بن علي العينزربي الشاعر المجيد، وحمزة بن علي العينزربي، من جيد شعره: يا راكبا يقطع عرض الفلا بلغ أحباي الذي تسمع
Abu Muhammad Ismail bin Ali al-'Ainzarbi, the excellent poet, and Hamza bin Ali al-'Ainzarbi, are attributed to it, from his good poetry: O rider crossing the expanse of the land, convey to my beloved what you hear.
وممن نسب له الحسين بن عبد الله الخادم مولى الحسن بن عرفه، محدث، رابط بها نحوا من نيف وعشرين سنة روى عن مولاه.
And among those attributed to it is Al-Husayn bin Abdullah al-Khadim, freedman of Al-Hasan bin 'Arifah, a hadith narrator, who stayed there for about twenty-odd years, narrating from his master.
وممن نسب إليه أبو عبد الله الحسين بن محمد بن أحمد العينزربي خرج منها حين استيلاء الكفار عليها، توفي سنة 392 ه كذا في تاريخ ابن العديم.
And among those attributed to him is Abu Abdullah Al-Husayn bin Muhammad bin Ahmad al-'Ainzarbi, who left it when the infidels took control of it, he died in the year 392 AH, as stated in the history of Ibn al-'Adim.
وذات الزراب، بالكسر: من مساحد النبي صلى الله تعالى عليه وسلم: بين مكة والمدينة، شرفهما الله تعالى.
And Dhat al-Zurab, with kasra: from the places of prayer of the Prophet, may God Almighty bless him: between Mecca and Medina, may God Almighty ennoble them.
وزريبة السبع: هكذا في الصحاح بالإضافة: مكتنه أي موضعه الذي يكتن فيه.
And Zareebat al-Sab': as in Al-Sihah with addition: its lair, meaning the place where it hides.
وفي غير الصحاح: الزريبة: مكمن السبع.
And in other than Al-Sihah: Al-Zareeba: the lion's hiding place.
والزريبة: من قرى الشرقية بمصر.
And Al-Zareeba: one of the villages of Al-Sharqiyyah in Egypt.

And Zurayb bin Thurmulah, like Zubayr: one of the long-lived, he has a story mentioned by Ibn Abi al-Dunya, and Al-Daraqutni in Gharā'ib Malik, and Al-Bawardi in Al-Sahaba and others, followed by Al-Hafiz in Al-Isabah.
