And he is the one who (captured Hatim al-Ta'i), they claim.
لله {ثوباه) ، كما تقول: لله تلاده
For Allah are his two garments, just as you say: For Allah is his heritage.
اسلل ثيابك من ثيابي: اعتزلني وفارقني
Pull your clothes from my clothes: leave me and separate from me.
وتعلق بثياب الله: بأستار الكعبة
And clinging to the clothes of Allah: to the curtains of the Kaaba.
وثوب الماء) هو (السلى والغرس)
And the thawb of water is the amnion and the chorion.
وفي} - ثوبي أبي) ، مثنى، (أن أفيه، أي في ذمتي وذمة أبي
And in the two garments of my father, dual, meaning in my responsibility and the responsibility of my father.

يقول: لا تلبس} ثيابك على معصية ولا على فجور

For the betrayer is one whose clothes are soiled.
والعرب تكني {بالثياب عن النفس لاشتمالها عليها

رموها} بأثواب خفاف فلا ترى البيت قد تقدم
They threw them with light garments, so you do not see the tent having advanced.
فسلي {- ثيابي عن} ثيابك تنسل
So remove my clothes from your clothes, and you will be removed.
وفلان دنس الثياب، إذا كان خبث الفعل والمذهب خبيث العرض
And so-and-so is 'dins al-thiyab' (soiled of clothes), if his actions and disposition are corrupt and his honor is foul.
وأوجههم بيض المسافر غران
And their faces are white like the traveler's, bright.
أو ذم حجا في ثياب دسم أي متدسم بالذنوب
Or he condemned pilgrimage in soiled clothes, meaning soiled with sins.
فدا لك إزاري، أي بدني
My loincloth is sacrificed for you, meaning my body.

نشأت {مستثابات الرياح: وهي ذوات اليمن والبركة التي يرجى خيرها
Auspicious winds arose: they are those of good fortune and blessing from which good is hoped.
الكلأ بموضع كذا مثل ثائب البحر: يعنون أنه غض طري، كأنه ماء البحر إذا فاض بعد ما جزر
The herbage in such a place is like the overflowing sea: meaning it is fresh and tender, like the sea water when it overflows after receding.
وابنه قتيبة بن ثواب له ذكر أيضا
And his son Qutaybah ibn Thawwab is also mentioned.
فاستثاب (مالا)
So he recovered (wealth).
إن العشيرة تستثيب بماله فتغير وهو متوفر أموالها
Indeed, the tribe seeks to recover wealth, and it changes while its wealth is abundant.
وعمود الدين لا {يثاب بالنساء إن مال، أي لا يعاد إلى استوائه
And the pillar of religion is not restored by women if it inclines, meaning it is not returned to its straightness.
وكلاعي) يكنى أبا حامد شيخ، روى عن خالد بن معدان
