It is a trench dug by rainwater channels from above; when they descend, they dig like graves and hollows, then the flood passes by and leaves water in them, which the wind stirs, and it becomes clear and cool, so nothing is clearer or cooler than it, and the water is named after that place.

وفي يدي مثل ماء الثغب ذو شطب
