And Al-Asma'i said: It is a valley for the Dabbab, its length is three nights, containing palm trees, crops, and fruits.
وقد قالوا: إنه واد ضخم، مسيرته عشرون يوما أسفله بنجد وأعلاه بالسراة
And they have said: It is a vast valley, its journey is twenty days, its lower part is in Najd and its upper part is in Al-Sirat.
وقال الكلبي: تربة: واد واحد يأخذ من السراة ويفرغ في نجران
And Al-Kalbi said: Turbah: a single valley that originates from Al-Sirat and empties into Najran.
وقيل: تربة ماء في غربي سلمى
And it is said: Turbah is a water source west of Salma.
وقال بعض المحدثين: هي على أربع ليال من مكة، قاله شيخنا
And some modern scholars said: It is four nights' journey from Mecca, our Sheikh said.
وطئت كل تربة في أرض العرب، فوجدت تربة أطيب الترب، وهي واد على مسيرة أربع ليال من الطائف
I trod every piece of land in the land of the Arabs and found the land to be the best of lands, and it is a valley four nights' journey from Taif.
وتربة، أي كقربة، واد من أودية اليمن
And Turbah, meaning like Qurbah, is a valley from the valleys of Yemen.
وتربة موضع من بلاد بني عامر بن كلاب
And Turbah is a place in the lands of Banu 'Amir ibn Kilab.
ومن أمثالهم (عرف بطني بطن تربة) يضرب للرجل يصير إلى الأمر الجلي بعد الأمر الملتبس
And among their proverbs (My belly knew the belly of Turbah) is struck for a man who comes to a clear matter after a confusing one.

And according to Al-Hazimi, Turbah with a silent ra is not a place name from the lands of Banu 'Amir ibn Malik.

And Al-Turbah, like Hamzah, with the lam, and Al-Tarbā', like Sahara: two places.
وهي قرية من زبيد، بها قبر الولي المشهور طلحة بن عيسى بن إقبال، عرف بالهتار، زرته مرارا، وله كرامات شهيرة
And it is a village in Zubayd, containing the grave of the famous saint Talhah ibn 'Isa ibn Iqbal, known as Al-Hattar, whom I visited several times, and he had famous miracles.

If my eyes become inflamed, my kohl is the dust that touches the sandal of Abu Turab.

The butcher shakes off the tripe that has fallen into the dirt.
