هذا أي فصل المثناة الفوقية موضعه بناء على أن التاء أصلية فوزنه فعللول

لأن التاء لا تزاد أولا إلا بثبت

فقضى عليها بالأصالة

ووهم الجوهري

And Al-Jauhari erred.

ولكن صوب أبو حيان وغيره أن التاء هي الزائدة في هذا اللفظ

But Abu Hayyan and others corrected it, stating that the ta' is the added one in this word.

وأن القول بأصالتها خطأ لا يساعده القياس ولا السماع

And that the assertion of its originality is an error that neither analogy nor hearing supports.
