فذكر الأول غير مصغر ولا مهموز، ليبين أنهم قد همزوه في التصغير وإن لم يكن مهموزا في التكبير
So he mentioned the first [form] un-diminutized and un-hamzated, to show that they did hamzate it in the diminutive even if it was not hamzated in the plural.
رمى فلان فأنبأ، أي لم يشرم ولم يخدش
So-and-so shot, and he anba'a, meaning he did not chip or scratch.
أو أنه لم ينفذ
Or that it did not penetrate.
ونابأهم منابأة: ترك جوارهم وتباعد عنهم
And naba'a them, a nabā'ah: to leave their neighborhood and distance themselves from them.
زرق العيون إذا جاورتهم سرقوا ما يسرق العبد أو نابأتهم كذبوا
Blue-eyed ones, if you lived near them they would steal what a slave steals, or if you avoided them, they would lie.
نبأت به الأرض: جاءت به
The land nabba'at with it: it brought it forth.
فنفسك أحرز فإن الحتو ينبأن بالمرء في كل واد
So protect yourself, for the 'hatw' (fate/destiny) will reveal the man in every valley.
ونباء كغراب: موضع بالطائف
And Nabā', like ghurāb: a place in Ta'if.
