The truffle is from manna, and its water is a cure for the eye.
قيل إنه من المن حقيقة

You were ignorant of the news, you were dull about it.
أي شيخته بتشديد الياء
Meaning, it aged him, with a shaddah on the ya'.

And indeed I am cowardly from the dangers when the slow one's lamentation grows.
ورجل كيئة وهو الجبان
And a kayi'ah man, and he is the coward.
للانأنا جبإ كيئة يملى مآبره ننصؤه
We are not a cowardly leader whose forelocks are filled and we strike him.
أكيء كيئا وكيأة
I become cowardly, kay'an and kay'atan.
